RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Visual research was carried out into graphic techniques and styles, using both personal archives and the internet. The main objective of the research was to look into how typography can be warped and distorted to communicate specific concepts. Following that, I was interested in creating a colour palette which used opposing colours to complement each other in an unexpected way.
CHALLENGE: Mainly the challenge was to create a series of typographic posters, with each individual artwork remaining diverse. The first task was to create engaging copy that would communicate the overall theme to the viewer. Then, communicating the specific message in its own particular way was needed. Following that, a design system was created to unify the series, and act as a template for further posters to be created.
