Since his Tour de France, he has specialised in the shaping of metals and artistic work, joining the Foundation de Coubertin, as artistic boilermaker and brass worker, where he uses his skill in realisation of commissions for several major artists of international fame. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Metal handcrafted SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: INFERNO: Hauteur 230mm | Largeur 150mm | Patine noir, fond vert | Matière demi-rouge | Pièce unique Vortex 3: Vase en cuivre | Hauteur 130mm | Largeur 150mm | Patine noir brillant | pièce unique TAGS: ART RESEARCH ABSTRACT: To form my vases, I begin with a metal sheet of 12/10 thickness, about 300 - 500 mm diameter in copper or brass and then works the material to the desired shape using a specialised hammer technique. Once the shape is completed I produce the exterior decorations. The final stage is the glaze which gives the piece its colour. CHALLENGE: This type of artistic metalwork demands a lot of time and patience; thousands of hammer blows are needed to achieve the final result.
