And the shape of the letter is transformed from 2D to 3D. Wood materials are adopted in line with ecological requirement and they are connected in a unique mode of construction with distinctive characteristics of architectural specialty. The profiling has explicit meaning with symbolic and visual impact.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: An orderly and rotatory space is constructed by the use of a simple and formal language and adoption of Chinese traditional connection method - mortise and tenon joint structure, which takes advantage of the geometrical shape - circle and shows all the variations at x-axis, y-axis and z-axis.Wood materials are adopted in line with ecological requirement and they are connected in a unique mode of construction with distinctive characteristics of architectural specialty. The profiling has explicit meaning with symbolic and visual impact.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2014 in Chengdu and finished in May 2014 in Chengdu, and was exhibited in the College of Architecture Southwest Jiaotong university, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China in May 2014.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Because of our limited experience comparing with skilled workers, many technique problems popped out during the construction: the edge of plank is outward, how to identify the cutting angle of every plank at surface? How to maintain the balance and identify the stress point? How to find the best connecting material? How to keep it waterproof and resistant to insects? Every step of this project was beset with difficulties, and we spent lots of time discussing and brain storming for solution to these problems.
