DESIGN NAME: Creative Studio
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Corporate Identity
INSPIRATION: After working for several design agencies, either as a full time or a free lance, I realised that communication wasn't a priority to either. To me communication is one of the most essential tools of a design agency, especially in a world that has been taken over by miscommunication. Creative Studio is the place that bonds ideas and exchanges experiences through exposing the audience to several media productions.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: About the agency:
"Creative Studio" is a made-up design and media agency based in Saudi Arabia. It provides design services such as branding, digital communication, graphic design, and media production. Its primary target is to provide thorough communication between the services and audience through creating a visual connection.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design mainly communicates with the youth as they are the most exposed to media interactions.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in mid January 2015 in Saudi Arabia and finished in February 2015 in the same country.
FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Research was the initial step for creating the logo and brand. Having made a visual research has helped me with coming up with the concept, colour formation, and brand identity.
Prior digitalising, I hand-sketched all the shapes and patterns there is in order to construct the final form of the logo.
I then used Adobe Illustrator and the Wacom tablet to design the illustrations on the identity, with using different colour references.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: My research was divided into two parts: technical & visual.
Visiting creative profiles aided me in forming the visual aspect of the design, while blogs and social media campaigns had a more conceptual effect.
The feedback I received after production allowed me to develop a stronger concept.
This design opportunity helped me realise the amount of disconnection due to miscommunication I found in the real world. I wanted to find a way to reconnect people in the language they speak best: media.
CHALLENGE: No project comes with a clear path. To me, I had a series of obstacles that I have faced the entire period. One was I had limited time to work and provide a strong research for my design as I am fully packed at work and find little energy to proceed with the project.
Another challenge was the conceptual research. I have faced days in which I had a design block while brainstorming; however, this motivated me to getting into depth with my technical research.
