| DESIGN NAME: Tekant PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chair INSPIRATION: Inspired in the structures of architecture buildings. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Tekant is a chair that raises a gemoetric game with triangles. Methacrylate upholstery is included to give a sense of lightness, to enhace the metalic structure. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Tekant chair is a chair that will challenge the mind of the user, because of it lightweight and how it can resist without any problem the daily use. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started as a unioversity project at madrid in IED madrid for an exhibition in the university. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Methacrylate and metalic structure. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: width 500mm x depth 430mm x height 900mm TAGS: chair, furniture, metal, triangles, design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The first thing I do was to study the different ways the structures work in architecture, finally I found that triangles are the best form I can use to make a beautiful object and could resist the weight of a person without any problem. CHALLENGE: the most difficult part was the research of the structure for making it resistant to the weight of the people and could sit comfortable and not moving.
