RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Ideas were inspired by the ocean. The use of colors and decoration are related by the sea and shore, such as the white and navy blue, as well as the shell decors. Special idea also comes up with an ocean related tradition, that is, the “Message in a Bottle”, people put a message in a bottle, make a wish and tossed it into the ocean. The columns inside the space is made like a roll of white paper, tiding with a silver band like the letter inside the message bottle.
With a fascinating lighting effect, this artistic feature becomes the highlight inside the restaurant.
CHALLENGE: The project was completed on a limited budget and had the
constraints of the building being listed. Design needs to be as efficient as possible Choosing furniture and materials were also
carefully done to represent the functional character of the restaurant.
