DESIGN NAME: DAX TABLE
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table
INSPIRATION: The DAX stock index is transformed into three-dimensional images, and aims to explore mathematics behind the formation of the aesthetic rules.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Darlie Lau Studio produced the complex integration of abstract Dax stock index through a 3D computer program. A three-dimensional database has been created and joined in German design elements including classic and contemporary style, and focusing on substantive form and material selection. A new aesthetic curve is formed by ups and downs data points and delivered to the lattice structure on the surface of the table support, coupled with the acute changes in the upright structure, forming not only the refraction of light, but also the beauty of industrial production.

CHALLENGE: Complicated and messy data are integrated into simple and aesthetic industrial products, and the production meets the needs of existing and historical morphology coupled with contemporary techniques and a new mode of design. The formation of three-dimensional geometry needs stretch forming of Aluminum, and the reduction of production cost. Through this elegant product design, stock index information and people can generate new association.
