Brand Identity

INSPIRATION:
New things from daily life intriguingly inspire my interests and exploration in arts and design. I am constantly excited about exchanging ideas with crossover designers, from which I can always gain abundant happiness and fruitful enlightenments.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Raw Material did not give the form a clear concept of location. Brand fundamental concept is not only reflected from the object self-perception , but also think of the object as a kind of emotional response. Brand challenge self-perception of original object to change a way to reflect another form, By the re-interpretation of daily objects and materials, to change the deep-rooted traditional thinking .By rearranging and design, I explore a potential new Angle of view.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
This first season is mainly focus on silk garments,silk scarves,and silk kerchief.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in March 2013 in Beijing and finished in June 2013 in Beijing.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Inspiration for the theme derives from the nature, as well as scenes in our lives, such as the mottled roads after the rain, ancient walls shining from age, RM has recorded these with the rubbing method of the traditional printmaking and kaleidoscope, then used computer to integrate it, finally presented in the form of digital printing and silkscreen. RM restored the authentic emotional response from the objects, which is also a challenge to the possibility and uncertainty of the materials.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
180mm (W) x 180mm (H) (Kerchief size), 1500mm (W) x 1500mm (H) (scarves size), Normal size(Clothing) (clothing). RM is continuing to research the new season products. In the future, RM will use more Chinese traditional arts and crafts, such as embroidery, tie-dye, etc. and natural materials, like bamboo, ceramics. Because in the Oriental philosophy system, human is just a part of the universe, human and nature is connected to an organic whole. In China, we call it " heaven-man syncretism".

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The thoughts of "heaven-man syncretism" lie in natural, balance, merge, integration of nature and human, advanced development of materialization and the culture of consumption have forced people to re-position the relationship between nature and human, so I collect different gift from nature by touch, watch, photograph, etc. and I choose silk as a carrier, because of silkworm breeding behavior attracted me, silkworm moth comes "to breed" and "to give", this process is like part of a natural cycle.

CHALLENGE:
How to reflect China's philosophy system and the concept of "heaven-man syncretism" is the hardest part of this design.
