| DESIGN NAME: Tonsan World Trade PRIMARY FUNCTION: Signage INSPIRATION: Considering the aesthetic and functional characteristics of the overall architecture, we created a thoughtful and interactive space identity system which mirrors the office atmosphere with unique and modern physical structures. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The information on the frosted glass is clean and clear with narrow lines under it. Overall the signage is clean, simple and beautiful, yet has deep implication. It immerses perfectly into the underlying traditional ‘separation line’ concept, yet in a modernized, digitalized era/context. Considering the aesthetic and functional characteristics of the overall architecture. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We closely coordinate with the client as well as the manufacturer. After the design is confirmed, we also worked closely with the producers, in order to make sure the sign board is finally what we intend to be. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Our signage system in this modern office building uses mirror-finished stainless steel which reinforces our design. The frosted glass in the back SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1800mmx300mm TAGS: mirror-finished stainless steel; "Zen“ philosophy; simplicity and reflection RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We did research on the office buildings. The overall style is simplicity and reflection which is also the core of our signage design. CHALLENGE: The hardest part of this project is to make sure our design can be implemented perfectly.
