| DESIGN NAME: Stratas.07 PRIMARY FUNCTION: LED Pendant Lamp INSPIRATION: We are permanently developing and designing new LED-luminaire at our production center in Berlin. One of the main goals, regarding the outer appearance of new developed lamps is the integration of all Stratas in one very clean and functional design-line. We only use high quality component parts for production and fall back on more than 30 years of experience in Lighting-Products. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With high-standard processing and excellence in every detail we strive to create a simple, clean and timeless design. Especially the Stratas.07, with its perfectly symmetric shape is absolutely following the rules of this specification. The built-in Xicato XSM Artist Series LED module has got a Colour Rendering Index >/= 95, a luminosity of 880lm, a power of 17W, a colour temperature of 3000 K - warm white (2700 K/ 4000 K available on request). The LED modules life is stated by the producer with 50,000 hrs - L70/B50 and the colour is consistent over lifetime. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Stratas.07 is a minimal LED pendant light designed specifically for the Xicato XSM Artist Series. Being the best colour rendering LED in its class makes Stratas.07 perfect for interior environments. As a single pendant, in series or as a set Stratas.07 combines a clean aesthetic with an outstanding performance to serve perfect lighting as well as a characteristic ambiance. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Stratas.07 is only one product of the Stratas-product-family. In 2012 we founded 'Stratas Leuchtenmanufaktur Berlin' and immediately began to realize the first prototypes. Now we reached a number of nine LED based lamps for a wide field of application. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The outer Body and several interior parts of Stratas.07 are manufactured in aluminum with different finishes, available in a broad range of colours. Further, we integrated the LED-driver in the tube and were able to avoid the need of a canopy. Almost all parts are either processed on the CNC-lathe, the CNC-mill ore even both. The outer Body of the lamp is coated, available in standard colours silver, black or white (other colours on request). SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The Product is cylindrical, with 270 mm hight and 70 mm diameter. (Width 70 mm x Depth 70 mm x Height 270 mm) We can deliver Stratas.07 with two different Reflectors: 60 ̊ or 40° flood. The Operating temperature range is -25…to...35°C. TAGS: LED, Spotlight, Xicato, light, pendant, drop light, ambient, pendant lamp RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: One of the biggest challenges in developing LED-based luminaire, is to keep the LED cool enough, to not override a certain temperature (Tc). If this goal is not reached, the LED-module will expire lifetime before it should. Exactly in this field we invested a lot of time, research, prototypes and love!
