| DESIGN NAME: Curvelle quaranta PRIMARY FUNCTION: Luxury Power Catamaran Superyacht INSPIRATION: Inspired by the successful integration of passenger catamarans in the commercial ferry market and our quest to make a power catamaran look more attractive than a monohull yacht. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A thirty four meter luxury power catamaran yacht with a nine meter beam and four decks Developed by CURVELLE, built in Istanbul, Turkey in 2013 and delivered to its owner in May 2013 Largest carbon hybrid composite motor yacht catamaran ever constructed in the world. First superyacht with an entirely flexible guest stateroom layout and a choice of over twenty configurations out of the six guest staterooms that can be changed on a moment’s notice. Depending on the size of the cruising party, the accommodation configuration can be adapted as needed. Thus when a party of twelve guests come on board, there is a choice of double or twin staterooms. Or when for example a smaller party of say three couples come on board, it is possible to annex staterooms to each other in order to create a full suite with his and hers bathrooms. The crew and guests each have their own decks. This gives privacy for all. http://curvelle.com/ OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Curvelle quaranta can be operated as a private or commercial yacht. It has the RINA + MCA certification for unrestricted range and cruise with paid guests anywhere in the world. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project took 18 months to design with participation from designers in the UK, Australia, Italy and Turkey. It took 22 months to build in Istanbul, Turkey. |
