A portable lamp that can be used anywhere, that does not need to connect to the electricity network to operate but that it is able to create energy through the use of natural and renewable sources.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
lap is an eco friendly lamp that works thanks to the technology of the "magnesium stack". A chemical reaction that is able to create enough electricity to power for 8 hours a 3 watt led.
An ecological lamp that creates clean energy.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Lap can be used in different ways thanks to the possibility of its upper part to rotate around 2 pins and thus provide both direct light or ambient light.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project was made during the course of "Luce, Uomo, Spazio nel progetto contemporaneo" with Carlotta de Bevilacqua as the professor; in the first year of Laurea Magistrale in Design del prodotto per l'innovazione at Politecnico di Milano.

The lower container contains 3 bars of magnesium and 3 small slabs of carbon, to operate used 1000 ml of water and 50 g of salt. Provides a luminous flux of 390 lumens for 8 hours.
