RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The formal research has been devoted to combine harmoniously soft signs and warm materials. The major role of graphic design is to communicate something to people, and product design is to be used by people. This chair was designed to serial production.
CHALLENGE: The general aspects and characteristics can be describe in three distinctive process phases and parts of the whole design concept: 1) metal framework 2) upholstery 3) laminated wood. The first challenge was to reduce weight without sacrificing structural strenght, but the hard part was to guarantee that all the distinct manifactures could work toward the same tollerances. The intent of "place" is not a formal language, but an easy the reading of values such as transparency, elegance and simplicity.
