PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Showroom, Retail

INSPIRATION:
Sports materials which we daily use are being produced in the different parts of the world. They are offered to the consumers on the shelves of the sports shops via a very complex marketing and logistics network. Jump one the brands with the best network. Manufacturing of collection by designers in various countries in Europe, being made by the manufacturers in China engaged in manufacturing superior quality. Via marketing company which established in Turkey, reach the whole world and consumers.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The second showroom of the jump showroom complex is also built on this complex network theme. Manufacturing method with cnc cutting is also used in the production of stainless steel evoking. The location is one of the successful illustrations of futurism with the impression that the furniture is appliqued on the location by an injection moulding.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Customers are effected from adaptation of space and shoes. Therefore, this adaptation encourage customers to purchase shoes.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
Project duration is 6 months and location is Istanbul.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Gradually moving away from the natural life that make up the natural texture of the concrete was chosen as the base material. Replaces concrete slabs that the standart dimensions on the wall and on the flor, self-leveling concrete slab preferred.The effect that structural iron which drill shelves on the right and left wall, is the other fact that become integrated the space and the theme. Logos, slogans, shapes, applied on the floor covering by the masking method.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
During the fictionalising of the space that display training shoes and reflect the life style, was researched nature and human interaction and then started to design. Physical condition of space, properties, product research, story of space were evaluated. Then selection of material fictionalised and material production methods were determined. Firstly, designs were transfered to conceptional Project and turned to be sketches. The sketches were transfered to CAD as application project.

CHALLENGE:
The most important challenge in this Project, the company’s operating activities during the day on the other floors. At the same time construction site shall be conducted. Construction site is noise, dust and a place where many workers are employed. The company’s work environment should be quiet. 6 months in the process, most of the time we had to work at nights. The other difficult part of the project is non-standart manufacturing techniques.

JUMP/GENMAR

PROFILE:
Jump which distributes shoes that be its own brand, designed by international designer and manufactured in far east, to Turkey and all over the world from Turkey. It was 1980, when JUMP established in one of the longest and well known street in NEW YORK, the 5th avenue. In Turkey, there was only one television channel in which broadcasts were all black and white. In 1987, when JUMP appears in Turkish markets, pop music named as ‘soft music’. By the year of 1999 world was getting smaller while needs were increasing so JUMP seperated its departments; design, r&d ( research and development ) and marketing to three main groups; JUMP ASIA, JUMP EUROPE and JUMP US.
