| DESIGN NAME: TTMM (after time) PRIMARY FUNCTION: Watchface Apps Collection INSPIRATION: www.genuse.eu UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: TTMM presents watchface apps collection, designed for smartwatches with black and white 144×168 pixel screens such as Pebble and Kreyos. You will find here 40 models of simple, elegant and aesthetic watchface apps each model is available in black or white. Because they are made of pure energy, they are more like ghosts than real things. These watches are the most economical and ecological friendly ever to have existed. Now you can change the face of your time whenever you like - TTMM (after time). OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: TTMM watchface can be uploaded to Pebble watch through free TTMM app for Android and iOS. In TTMM app you can view design, read description, buy and upload 40 models of watchfaces. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2012 in Warsaw and finished in August 2013 in Elk in Poland. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Digital and Electronic Device Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: TTMM collection was designed on Adobe Illustrator. Fonts for watchfaces were prepared with Type Tool 3. All bitmaps were edited on Adobe Photoshop. Programming was made with Pebble SDK and XCODE. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Binary apps for Pebble are from 8 to 24 Kb. TAGS: Pebble, TTMM, watchface, smartwatch, Kreyos, app, watch, time, clock RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The challenge facing me was to design a watchface collection for Pebble in a new and beautiful way. I was tired of seeing simulations of mechanical clocks and 80' LCD screens. These are simulacrums of something that has now gone it's only a kind of nostalgia. New technology provides us with a new "space"; the opportunity is priceless and we need to take advantage of it in the right way. TTMM works in many different fields of design: signs, visual identifications, posters, communications systems, exhibitions, wrappings, web interfaces and mobile apps. Team started in 2011 and created series of watch face applications. TTMM developed apps for iOS, Android and Pebble watch. |
