PRIMARY FUNCTION: Armchair
INSPIRATION: To develop a seating furniture collection with a new rack-system. Based on the required minimum of physics and material. Slim, comfortable, cosy - with armrests. Harmonious from all sides, also from below. Without corners.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The rack-design is based on the required minimum of physics and material - realized by one endless pipe. The stability is achieved by the loop form. No further constructions and connections are necessary. The chair does not have any corners only curves - harmonious curves.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is a cosy chair - without ornamentations and additional constructions. He is intended for relaxing areas like living rooms, waiting zones, offices, lounges and cafe bars (inside and outside). The minimized one pipe construction is immediately visible.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in December 2012 in Karlsruhe, Germany and finished in May 2013. It was not published yet.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The materials are modern, classic and lasting. The armchair is composed of a metal rack and a seat, which allows different materials like wood, metal, leather, cloth or Rattan (outdoor). The back and the seat form one piece, which adapt to the curves of the rack. The armrests are simple without an additional construction. The ergonomics of the armchair was adapted to the physiognomy of an average person. The chair stands safely on a runner and two curves.
