| DESIGN NAME: Limantos PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence INSPIRATION: The design of this residence built in an area of steep slope in St. Paul refers to the rationalist architecture of Mies van der Rohe German Renowned among others by Barcelona pavilion built to host the 1929 Universal Exposition still open to visitors on the slopes of Montjuïc The same dynamic integration based on the use of glass ostensible the same desire for permanent fusion with the landscape and feel close to the water addition to the materials considered concrete and steel UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: the helical staircase provides access to the mezzanine where are the home theater to the gym and terrace with fireplace Reserved for the intimate downstairs area has room for children plus three suites in most of them being that the access is through a broad hall that distributes the circulation to the baths lord and lady and closet to the living room connects to the dining room by a glass every movement also integrating deck infinity pool and side garden while in the dining room a door window opens directly to the outside so almost enclosed by glass panels just the house seems to be immersed in the surrounding landscape OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2010 in São Paulo and finished in October 2012 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Architecture, Building and Structure Design |
