| DESIGN NAME: Entrance of the tourist city of Mashhad PRIMARY FUNCTION: Gate way INSPIRATION: Pigeon of Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad city. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The gate way has been designed so that entry and exit of any vehicle will cause changes in the structure which changed the aspect of design and it is like a flying bird. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This construction has been designed so that when the cars passing on bump there is a bar under road which is going down by weight of cars that is causing the gear wheels to rotate and cables to be pulled. Therefore, with the arrival of cars to the site, the shape of the portal is being changed and gives us different views. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Structures holding are prestressed structure . We cover between metal movable structures with fabric structures . Steel cables that can gather and moving structures. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 65 m x Depth 14 m x Height 28 m TAGS: SIMORGH RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Project goals: The use of the weight of the vehicles on the road are moving on without anyone ever force them to use weights. It was always a question in my mind. Further research will focus on that part.
