| DESIGN NAME: Tiara PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hands Free Video Door Phone INSPIRATION: - UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Tiara was designed in accordance with the horizontal and vertical use, depending on the width of the place of use. Aesthetic quality of product can be maintained in horizontal and vertical position. Patented 90 degree swivel apparatus which was designed for 2.5 and 3.5 inch monitors provides easy rotation of the monitor. Lids can be opened without using any auxiliary apparatus or force, by means of the patented lock system. Replaceable frames and speaker grills provide a surprise aesthetic impact. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Patented 90 degree swivel apparatus provides easy rotation of the monitor without removing the monitor or monitor apparatus. This method eliminates the problems that may arise for the monitor which is connected to the circuit board by cables. Rotation of aparatus is completed when it comes to vertical or horizontal position. It can’t be rotated more than 90 degrees. Intercom products lids are usually screwed together or are locked with snap fits. Screwing is taking time. Snap fits can be broken and the product becomes unusable.Tiara has own lock mechanism. Sliding the lock lever into locked positon is enough to lock and sliding it into the opposite side is enough to open. It prevents any damage during the opening and closing the lids. It also shortens the time for this proceses. There is no element that is connected to the back cover to the front cover. In this way, repair procedure can be performed in a comfortable way. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Tiara is made of injection plastic. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: the dimensions of the product are : 110 x 214 x 26 mm the dimensions of the package are: 113 x 230 x 30 mm TAGS: intercom, video door phone RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: In general, intercom product’s monitor is rotated by removing the monitor or monitor apparatus according to the horizontal or vertical use. It causes the problems. Because the monitor is connected to the circuit board by cables. Intercom products lids are usually screwed together or are locked with snap fits. Screwing is taking time. Snap fits can be broken and the product becomes unusable. There are generally connections between the intercom product lids. So the front lid can’t be moved completely and repair procedure can’t be performed in comfortable way. It was challenging when trying to solve all these problems and trying to find better solution.
