RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This research integrates futuristic aesthetics with sustainable resort design. The goal was to create a structure that harmonizes with its coastal surroundings while evoking a luxury cruise ship. Simulations and material studies examined light reflection and aerodynamics. Guest experience studies informed spatial planning, enhancing both visual and functional engagement. The findings contribute to resort architecture, influencing sustainable tourism and coastal hospitality.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge was balancing futuristic aesthetics with structural feasibility. The cantilevered glass-bottom pool required advanced engineering to ensure safety while maintaining visual lightness. Strict coastal regulations and material limitations influenced design choices. Extensive environmental analysis was conducted to optimize light reflection and aerodynamics. Overcoming these obstacles led to a harmonious blend of innovation, sustainability, and guest experience.
