INSPIRATION: The packaging features a retrofuturistic aesthetic. The illustrations on the coffee bag evoke a sense of wonder, blending fiction elements with industrial motifs. The central figure symbolises the fusion of human ingenuity and artistic imagination. The surrounding gears, pipes, and abstract shapes create a visual narrative that mirrors the complexity and richness of the coffee inside. The bold use of colour and texture grabs attention, and reflects the superior craftsmanship of the brand.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Coffee Wave filter coffee packaging design sets itself apart from other coffee brands. It evokes curiosity and intrigue, capturing the attention of younger audiences with its surrealistic and steampunk-inspired aesthetics. The design masterfully merges black and white elements with bold colour blocking techniques, creating a visually dynamic and engaging experience. This innovative design invites consumers to explore and connect with the brand making Coffee Wave a memorable choice.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The exterior of the packaging features a smooth touch, enhancing the tactile appeal while ensuring the product inside is well-protected. The packaging utilises flexible material for easy storage and features a sealing mechanism to ensure prolonged freshness of the product.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2022 in Athens and finished in November 2023 in Athens.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The material used was a metallic bag. We used white layers to reduce the levels of the metallic effect topically and also we used glossy spot uv, to stress elements such as the balloon, the hat, the eye etc.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The designs creative approach embraces visual disruption and originality. Extensive research was conducted to understand the preferences and behaviours of the target audience, leading to the creation of a collage of disparate objects. This innovative design strategy led to a logo and packaging that engages consumers by inviting them to explore and decipher the connections between the various depicted elements.
CHALLENGE: The key challenge in designing the Coffee Wave packaging lay in harmoniously combining diverse images and elements to create a cohesive visual narrative. The goal was to ensure that each element complemented the others, ultimately forming a design that captivates and intrigues. This thoughtful assembly transformed the packaging into a unique storytelling canvas, reflecting the brand's innovative spirit and artistic vision.
