| DESIGN NAME: Drop Sauna and Drop Lodge PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sauna and Small Cottage INSPIRATION: Drop Sauna and Drop Lodge are places for relaxation and ideal places to re-connect with yourself and with the surrounding nature. The Drop shape was inspired by the minimalistic beauty of Finnish nature and our thousands of lakes. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Elevate your outdoor experience with the unparalleled beauty and sustainability of Drop Saunas and Drop Lodges, designed with genuine Finnish passion. Immerse yourself in the allure of these magnificent outdoor structures, where award-winning and globally acclaimed minimalist design takes center stage. The iconic drop shape serves as a captivating window, that frames the beautiful view. Drop Saunas and Drop Lodges are meticulously crafted in Finland with the utmost attention to detail. Using high-quality materials and a commitment to excellence in finishing, each sauna and lodge is a testament to Finnish craftsmanship. The construction material, CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) stands as one of the most ecologically conscious and durable building materials available. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The turnkey outdoor buildings, Drop sauna, and Drop lodge, are crafted with the same Finnish precision and dedication as our beloved Drop spas and outdoor fires—exemplifying high-quality craftsmanship, premium materials, and meticulous finishing. The Drop Sauna is constructed from CLT, which is one of the most eco-friendly and durable building materials available. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 230 x 230 x 230 cm TAGS: Sauna, design sauna, outdoor sauna RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Drop did a market research of outdoor saunas and found out there was no minimalistic Scandinavian design saunas and therefore wanted to create one. CHALLENGE: Hardest part of the process was redoing the prototype until it was perfect.
