| DESIGN NAME: Horizon Below 75cm PRIMARY FUNCTION: Infant Daycare Center INSPIRATION: Reshaping the Rural Daycare In contrast to urban areas, rural regions often face a shortage of public daycare institutions, daycare is handled personally. It is essential to address the necessity for establishing adequate facilities in rural areas with utmost priority. This project stands as the first newly constructed public daycare facility in Yilan with a primary focus on infant care, and a mission to provide health and childbirth education for expecting parents and nurturing environments. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Early childhood development encompasses three distinct stages; Newborn, Infant, and Toddler, wherein children experience varying levels of sensory development. To cater to the physical scale of children within each stage, the height of façade openings has been precisely calibrated to range from 45 to 75 cm, enabling the outer world to be visible from their own perspective. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project located at the intersection of section 3 Yicheng Road and Luan Road, Dongshan Township, Yilan County. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This project uses modern architecture design, but utilized local materials in order to cope with local climate, making this project easier to construct with low maintanence.
