| DESIGN NAME: Campus 90 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Students Dormitory and Hotel INSPIRATION: The architects chose a relatively simple silhouette that would serve as a benchmark and be easily perceived by the high-speed cars passing along the two boulevards and the roundabout. Implementing the program at a height has other advantages - freeing up more areas for landscaping and providing unique views of the sea and the city from the rooms. The movement and speed also inspired the colour solution of the facade, which is a pixelated spiral rotating around the parallelepiped of the building UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: "Campus 90" combines the functions of a student dormitory, hotel and conference center. The building is located next to the roundabout between two main boulevards in the city of Varna. This is the largest private investment in such a building in the city and responds to the increasing interest of students to the universities. The investor's concept is to provide not only excellent living conditions, but also to create numerous prerequisites for communication and teamwork between students. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This building has a mixed use - a students' dormitory, a short term hotel for students, meeting rooms, study, lobby, restaurant and sports centre. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Fiber-cement plates and glass SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: A high rise building with a hight of 60 meters, containing 15 students' rooms per floor. The first 3 floors have common parts - lobby, conference and meeting rooms, restaurant, fitnes centre. TAGS: CAMPUS, students RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The building was initially made for office building and redesigned for students' dormitory building.
