| DESIGN NAME: Guangzhou Taikoo Hui PRIMARY FUNCTION: Store INSPIRATION: The brand concept behind Grandma,Ancient Taste is always the same, and the feelings conveyed to customers revolve around the key words of original ecology, nature and simplicity. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The large scale natural elements are used in the design. Different materials are integrated into one space. The different scale, thickness, and temperature of the space will bring people touch and visual pleasure to people with the passage of years. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The texture and color of the space are derived from the material. The texture of the cave stone is clear and gentle. It originates from the nature, but it can break away from the bondage. Used as a wall, it has a strong sense of texture and brings different visual feelings with the change of light. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2022 in Guangzhou and finished in January 2023 in Guangzhou. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The simple island platform with rich design echoes the whole space, and the delicate texture of stone enhances the overall texture of the space, highlighting the aesthetic feeling with details, and making the space more transparent.the designer use of materials has been deliberately reduced to minimal, which is a pious work. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project covers a total of 119 square meters. TAGS: Interior,Commercial, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The half hidden green branches in the dry rocks beside the island platform let people temporarily break away from the noise and feel the moment of tranquility brought by the charm of urban nature and the inspiration brought by Grandmas works. CHALLENGE: The exterior wall is connected with the original stone and the wood grain board with clear lines. The persistence of these two ancient building materials represents a sense of long history, combined with the simplicity and true taste of Grandma. Expressing the brand positioning and initial intention with newer inclusions is actually more like a landscape standing in a shopping mall.
