| DESIGN NAME: Baia PRIMARY FUNCTION: Night Club INSPIRATION: We were inspired by the fascinating and exotic atmosphere of a cave. We hope to trigger a chain reaction of positive inspirations by making an appearance of the design inspired by a cave in the very center of Tokyo. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: “a cave within the city” BAIA came into existence in the center of Shibuya the center of Tokyo metropolitan as a cave suddenly appeared in the city. BAIA consists of 5 floors; a basement, 3 stories and a rooftop terrace, and the design concept of entire floor is “a cave within the city.” We believed only a minimal design could visualize the fascinating and exotic atmosphere of a cave, and kept it minimal using emerald green lighting and mortar which we think suited for this modern cave.
