DESIGN NAME: Fairfield by Marriott Bijie
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hotel
INSPIRATION: The shape of architectural is extracted from the overlapping double pitch roof element of the local old building, the Temple of Wealth, its second, third and fourth floors are gradually reduced in proportion, and all extend from the middle of the ridge to form the shape of a pagoda. The solid-invisible variation design interprets the local architectural style and organically integrates with modern techniques to create the basic image of the new pile dwelling.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design of the resort harmonizes the artificial environment and the natural environment, and satisfies people's desire to return to nature and get close to nature in form and function. In this way, the natural and ecological theme can be reflected and the organic combination of green and ecological environmental consciousness and vacation and leisure lifestyle can be achieved.

The guest rooms, which are mainly used for resting, obviously require the greatest degree of tranquility and are therefore located on the second to sixth floors of the main building. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Site investigation in May 2021.
The foothills here are steep, and the height difference between the highest point and the lowest point of the 18666 sqm site land is more than 20 meters.
CHALLENGE: How to integrate the detailed and complicated contents into the strict terrain conditions is the focus and difficulty of the design. Under the overall planing strategy of breaking up the whole into parts, the design restores the scattered layout of mountain villages. It starts from the landscape of the site and gradually rises from the lake to the mountain, and the public areas are not in line with the guest areas and they are arranged at different heights. In this way, people in the public area can view the inner lake, while guests in the rooms can enjoy a private view of the landscape without being disturbed.
