| DESIGN NAME: Beltman PRIMARY FUNCTION: Art INSPIRATION: The real world is undergoing profound changes, and Metaverse brings central and decentralized games. It revolves around one theme “control”. People pursue simplicity and construct rules. At the same time, development and competition come up to complexity, balance, and opposition. The design head to the theme intuitively and innovatively. Regulation and competition, simplicity and complexity, influence each other, and are mutually transferable. Human society has always pursued a kind of “control” that combines balance and opposition. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work is an integration of art and design, with functions of collectibles, decorations, toys, etc. Simplicity and refinement coexist, integrating deconstruction and structuralism styles. The joint structure is boldly exposed, highlighting the strength, texture, and visual gravity of the whole structural volume. Streamlines create momentum and tension. The details draw rich emotions and storytelling. The interpretation and practice of sustainable design emphasize on rethinking design and harmony with the contemporary way of life between Maximalism and Minimalism. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: With a structural beauty from the Physical World, its shape and character reflect immersive reverie and emotional interaction with the Virtual World. The surface texture reflects the uncertainty of future technology and interacts and blends with people and space. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2021 and was completed in 2022. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Featuring the idea of sustainable design, it is entirely digital R&D, a simplified design, hollowing out the internal structure to significantly reduce the material consumption and product weight. The integration is lightweight and durable. Exquisite handy craftsmanship and craftsman spirit empower precise and efficient technology to create a modern art decor with warmth. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Product dimensions, W 130mm x D 80mm x H 280mm. Package dimensions, W 240mm x D 140mm x H 360mm. TAGS: Metaverse, Artistic Toy, Collectibles, Decoration, Emotions, Sustainable RESEARCH ABSTRACT: On the premise of pursuing high quality for design and production, 15 experiments were conducted between the fineness of 0.05 and 0.1 to achieve a balance between precision and the best energy efficiency. This design uses non-uniform thickness hollow-out technology and 3D printing technology. According to different stress positions, the corresponding hollow thickness is emphasized, which significantly improves the qualified rate of finished products, and at the same time, minimizes consumables to achieve the best balance of refinement, weight, and quality. CHALLENGE: The product structure has high requirements for fineness and details. However, increasing the fineness will increase the consumables and damage rate. Therefore, the research challenge is balancing energy efficiency and minimizing consumables and weight without sacrificing quality.
