| DESIGN NAME: Rsvp PRIMARY FUNCTION: Corporate Identity INSPIRATION: Rsvp is a unique branding project that aims to provide a secure and trusted environment for casual online gatherings among friend groups, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The inspiration behind this project comes from the challenges posed by the pandemic, which has made in-person gatherings much more difficult, and virtual parties have become increasingly popular. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The unique properties of the Rsvp platform include its invite-only system, which safeguards participants against imposters online. The system ensures that only those invited by their acquaintances are permitted to gather, providing a secure and trusted environment for online events. The logomark of RSVP is an expression of diversity and interconnectedness. It features entwined typefaces with connecting lines, linking squares, and wide letters. The symbol is based on the virtual meeting screen and varies depending on the number of attendees, reinforcing the idea of inclusivity. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The host creates an event and invites guests via a unique link. Guests Rsvp to confirm attendance and can order beverages/goods from Rsvp. Guests attend online gatherings through unique links, interact with others, and order shared items. RSVP provides a secure environment and enhances the experience with chat, games, and music. Invited guests can extend the invitation to others by sharing their unique links. Rsvp adds these new guests to the guest list and promotes inclusivity and community building. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Rsvp project is a virtual event platform that aims to connect people from different locations with shared interests. Participants attend an online gathering via the invite-only system and complete pre- and post-gathering surveys. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The study aims to provide insights into the role of online gatherings in reducing isolation and fostering a sense of community, with Rsvp serving as a model for secure and inclusive virtual gatherings. CHALLENGE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual events have become a popular alternative to in-person gatherings. However, many online platforms lack the necessary features to create a sense of community and connectedness. The challenge is to design a virtual event platform that enhances social connectedness and fosters a sense of community for online gatherings among friend groups, with a focus on security and inclusivity.
