DESIGN NAME: It Is In Your Genes
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dynamic Identity
INSPIRATION: The Client is a recently established company offering genotyping service that enables customers to discover eventual genetic diseases. They required a brand identity that clearly communicates what their operation stands for. The idea was inspired by the DNA structure that contains genetic codes. A unique alphabet of Morse codes was designed, by which the word Genecontact was written, defining the actual logo. Codes in the logo are arranged to resemble the shape of a double-helical structure.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Given the identity was made for a genotyping service, the concept was also built upon a system of codes. Specially designed Morse codes were created representing the letters of the alphabet. Any word can visualized this way, turning a static logo to a dynamic identity. The logo, which is the name of the Client written by the codes, takes the shape of the double-helical structure of DNA. This is how the business of the Client is reflected both conceptually and visually in the identity.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: -
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2021 October in Budapest. The website development is still ongoing.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: • The codes that make up the logo are designed to form the shape of the DNA's double-helical structure.
• This iconic form of the logo is reflected as a pattern in further identity elements.
• The bold and refined nature of the brand’s visual world characterises the elegant box for the sampling tools, in which the customer can preserve his, her DNA as a lasting memory.
• The box also contains a customized patient card, with the customer’s name written by the alphabet of Morse codes.
