RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As a case of refurbished building project, the idea is to re-position the brand through image of a gallery with lifestyle events: diverse exhibition venues, dynamic events, and most importantly customer gathering.
This project is a cost-efficient solution of old building regeneration and a flip of the brand image through image of a gallery. Majority of the building materials are sourced in Taiwan, including Champion local production recyclable tiles, an actual input reducing carbon emission.
The Bloom is the essence of Champion brand and a renewal of consumer experience journey.
CHALLENGE: As a case of refurbished building project, the idea is to polish the image of 50-year ‘young' leader of the industry and flip traditional tile appearance.
External tiles are designed to extend from façade to Level One arcade in smooth arc lines rather than traditional rigid image of tiles.
The Bloom is done through three color shades of recyclable tiles designed in a variety of façade angles, creating a soft V-shaped curve implying the brand logo; a subtle visual integration of the building and brand.
Visual rhythm brings out building vitality, showing the posture of a flying eagle. The whole building is a flower blooming in the urban forest, symbolizing the prosperity of the brand.
