| DESIGN NAME: Soco Work PRIMARY FUNCTION: Coworking Space INSPIRATION: Soco Work takes inspiration from how Thai people like to season their food to have the taste closest to their personal preferences. The design concept, therefore, picks up on the approach eventually creating different styles of workspace to prospective tenants images and lifestyle, just like a variety of meticulously cooked dishes. The design also enables the spaces to be managed with the greatest efficiency, while strengthening the project strong points by increasing options for tenants. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Thai style variety for the flavorful spirit of new generation workforce. This fresh and eclectic coworking space is designed to accommodate users changing lifestyles, proposing new possible definitions of what a coworking space can be. With an incredible combination of flavors, seasoned just right with the help of design to reflect the young generation Thai workforce preferences in relation to put great consideration in maximizing the efficiency of different natures of work. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Soco Work is conceived from an intention to find the most suitable answer for the changing behaviors of young generation Thai workforce. The project owner and design team believe that with the chosen design solution and management approach, Soco Work will become a starting point for many new possibilities of how people work and what an office space can be. This makes it more than ready to handle changes and unpredictabilities in the constantly evolving world. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Soco Work is located at Lasalle Road, the suburb area of Bangkok, Thailand. The project is started in October 2021 and completed in January 2022. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The project incorporates the security system in which QR Code is used for the members with different types of membership faster and safer. The QR Code system also includes a daily update, preventing any key card from being reused while guaranteeing a higher level of safety and security. In addition, the project also provides a hotdesk booking system where members are able to check the daily availability of seats including their favorite or preferred seats. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project area is approximately 550 square metres. TAGS: Coworking Space, Interior Design, Office Design, Modern Thai RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Having been informed about the concept and the idea of an office with diverse alternative space, the design team works with the requirements and studies the nature of the business, as well as the owner preferences and demands, and equally important, the employee behaviors. The design is later reconciled into a workspace with two different sections. Soco Work combines the terms Solutions for Office and Coworking Space, With this core concept comes the name of the project, Soco Work, which is the combination of the terms Solution for Office and Coworking space. CHALLENGE: The design makes the best use out of the extra height of the space by elevating the seating level of the common area to create a more personal space for users. Additionally, the spatial manipulation that ends up creating varying seating levels makes the coworking space more spacious and open, enabling users to have a wider view of the floor thanks to the descending seating levels that prevent the seats from obstructing each other view.
