Continuous line drawings were made to distinct this new series from other governmental digital magazines who mainly use photographs.

TAGS: illustration, line art, art, graphic design, schiphol, airport, plane, airplane, safety, work environment, building houses, home, environment, dutch government, inspectorate,
RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research was based on exploring history of art and the latest trends in contemporary visual language. Not only big artists like Picasso used the simplicity of line drawings. Also prehistorical people draw simple lines in caves to visualize the essence of things.
CHALLENGE: The creative challenge was to translate (sometimes very complex) topics about safety/working/living on and around the airport into simple line drawings. To find the essence without losing recognizability.
