| DESIGN NAME: Touch PRIMARY FUNCTION: Washbasin INSPIRATION: We are drawn to each other by love. Our shields drop, we experience excitement and a sense of oneness. We melt into each other. This closeness is reminiscent of the feeling of touching and being together. Thanks to its prestigious appearance, Touch Washbasin not only creates a sculptural visual perception in wet spaces, but also symbolizes being together in every sense. The sink concept is now turning into an aesthetic object rather than a functionality. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Touch sink; while aiming to change the traditional perception of two-use washbasin with its unique form, it aims to accommodate the use of two adults in one washbasin and together with its aesthetic and functional form. It symbolizes the ideas of being together with its sculptural form and being in touch with the design approach. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Designed for two people to use together, the Touch washbasin offers its user a different bathroom and usage experience. While reflecting the passion and desire of touch between couple with its form, it has a sculptural and flowing form where aesthetics meets function. Its form is designed in accordance with the flow characteristics and behavior of water. There are integrated feet on the backs of the sinks, so they can easily stand on their own. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Touch basin is produced with Fine Fire Clay (FFC) ceramic. It is then glazed with a very slippery non-stick glaze and becomes a high-performance ceramic. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimensions: Length: 1250 mm, Depth: 450 mm, Height: 150 mm. The packaging will be an environmentally friendly packaging that will include these dimensions optimally. TAGS: washbasin, double basin, ergonomic, functionality, sculptural, passion, to touch RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Easy to clean, modernism, functionalism and minimalism are on the rise in all consumer groups. However, the purpose of this design is to reflect the emotions and meanings on the form. As it is known in the signs, the denotation – emerges when the signified is perceived as it is objectively. Connotation is the implied meaning. Although the Touch washbasin is used as a washbasin for two, it is designed to express the bond, passion and togetherness between two people. CHALLENGE: Semiotic science determines the colors, forms, light-shadows that the designers will use in design; He created designs with information based on the knowledge of balance and harmony created with colors, forms, light and shadows that trigger the subconscious patterns that humanity has acquired for centuries. In this way, they will create the necessary effect in the target audience and create the necessary emotion for the product to be marketed. This poses a great challenge for creativity.
