| DESIGN NAME: Precious Lives PRIMARY FUNCTION: Illustration INSPIRATION: The theme of this poster set is the protection of marine life. The author uses a thin red rope to outline the forms of marine creatures: sea turtles, jellyfish and whales. It shows that these creatures are bound by the garbage environment and reflects the critical situation of marine life. The whole poster also uses a combination of high-level drawing skills and high-tech software to convey the idea of protecting marine life to the public through various media. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In recent years, there have been many reports about the death of marine creatures. In these reports, for example, a sea turtle, whose shell is wrapped in a plastic bottle, causing it not to grow properly while it is still hatching, so this turtle grows up with this plastic bottle and lives in misery. They are pitiful, they don't have the hands to deal with all this rubbish that humans throw inside the ocean In this case, the author wanted to use modern software technology to make posters of these dangerous and environmentally unfriendly human behaviours, hoping that these public service posters would draw attention to marine ecological issues. This creates a breathtaking visual sensation, reflecting the critical situation of marine life, hanging the creature by a rope to reflect its life-threatening situation, and using exaggeration to warn people about marine life and ecology. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The key is a strong impact that attracts the public, and a high aesthetic effect attracts people's aesthetic interest. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The series of illustrations and expressions are drawn by the illustrator vector design software. It is produced by high level printing and manufacturing technologies to show the details of beautiful and exquisite illustrations. TAGS: conservation, marine life, responsibility, environmental protection, survival, sustainable development RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This series of illustrations uses thin red rope to outline the forms of sea creatures: turtles, jellyfish and whales. Using computer vector drawing techniques, the bodies of the marine creatures are strangled with red rope to show that the creatures are in danger, and a rope is used to suspend the creatures to show that their lives are in danger, giving the viewer a sense of suffocation through print and online communication, and using hyperbole to warn people about marine life and ecology. CHALLENGE: In the design process, the poster was innovatively designed using exaggeration and abstraction in order to reflect the dangerous situation of the sea creatures, with the ultimate blend of meaning and aesthetics achieved by thinking outside the box and modern software.
