| DESIGN NAME: Azumaen PRIMARY FUNCTION: Japanese Restaurant INSPIRATION: Various migratory birds visit the lake in front of the restaurant every season. It created the atmosphere of a bird resting its wings on a stage that juts out into the lake. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is a plan of a restaurant on the shore of a lake in a national park. The booth in the private room is shaped like a mandarin duck, and the space is like a bird resting its wings quietly in a pond. Indirect lighting is also installed at the counter of the open kitchen and at the feet of the table seats to create a floating feeling like a mandarin duck floating in a pond. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Each booth was made of bent structural plywood and finished with a cloth that was glossy with natural light. The lighting plan of the restaurant has a timer set, and the atmosphere changes from day to night.
