| DESIGN NAME: Dragon Bay PRIMARY FUNCTION: Exhibition Center INSPIRATION: The architectural form takes the diamond cutting shape to build the architecture into a contemporary experiential art space. In the meanwhile, the landscape strategy is designed to carried out by using a unified landscape language. Deconstruct and reconstruct, to seek the harmony balance relationship between architecture and site, and construct artistic living scene at the boundary of architecture and nature. The design principle is to focus on the potential of site transformation. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of project is to explore the boundary between human and nature, lighten the sense of alienation .Meanwhile, communal space experience is heighten, while a deeper experience space is created . Pure,concise and the Minimalism of the art strategy, the perfect integration into nature. The project creates seven highlights of themes, including entry, forest in the shuttle, canyon within exploration, green walk, mystery valley , star river in the spark, and water county in meditation . OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Through the immersive experience of multi-dimensional terrain height difference, landscape design blurs the boundary between natural and artificial, uses different design techniques to realize the space-time transformation, and shows the interweaving of art and humanities. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2021 in Zengcheng,Guangzhou and finished in June 2021. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Respect the height difference of the terrain and make rational use of it, collect the community Rain Water, and create a sponge city system of the community, so that a large area of trees and plants in the project can be well preserved. Skillfully use the shape slope of the central building to collect the mutual infiltration and recycling of natural Rain Water and artificial waterscape, resulting in the sustainability of self-iteration, and realize the illusion that the architectural hologram is mapped on the water surface visually. As the collection of the community Rain Water, and create a sponge city system of the community, so that a large area of trees and plants in the project will be preserved. Collect natural Rain Water and artificial waterscape infiltrate and recycle each other, produce self-iterative sustainability, and create a role model of sustainable ecological environment for the community in the future SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The landscape area is 11,823 square meters. TAGS: Garden design, Sculpture, Nature, Modern, Visiting experience, Transparency, Landscape, Light, Shadow RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Sandbox simulates the topography of the site, considers the future use of the site, and repeatedly deduces and studies the spatial scale and natural perception of the site. Simultaneously, the change of light and shadow is simulated artificially, and the panoramic projection product of the building in the waterscape is tested repeatedly, so as to reduce the disturbance to nature as much as possible and realize mutually beneficial integration. CHALLENGE: Considering the future potential and display properties of the site, the design is under several deduction recording to the site repeatedly. Through the investigate if the spatial scale and natural feeling of each place, so as to minimize artificial disturbance to nature and achieve mutual benefit. Although restricted by municipal planning, the height and slope of the site, moving lines and paths have been deduced and adjusted several times, so as a result to finalize the community to stimulate the vision of community life in the future.
