| DESIGN NAME: Ruler of the Castle PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office INSPIRATION: The simpler a design is, the more classic and easier on the eyes it will be. Its owner, after taking its future expansion and the budget into account, opts for a container house to build his dream office space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A charging pile is affixed to one of the H-shaped steel bar to charge electric vehicles right there. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Owing to the heat and humidity of the climate in Taiwan, the mezzanine at the top of the container house is outfitted with thermal insulation glass to keep heat from getting inside from above. Vegetation is also planted to make the surroundings filled with greenery to resolve the problem of scorching heat in mid-summer and to create a pleasant work environment for all four seasons. The façade of the container house is fitted with large glass windows, so that natural light can be ushered in and ventilation is enhanced to maintain good air quality. The hand-made rectangular openwork chandelier suspended from the ceiling gives a play of light and shadow, in accordance with the imagery of a filming studio. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The designer first covers the surface of the container house with a thin aluminum plate both to enhance its water-proof and anti-fouling functions and to accentuate its chic and Avant-garde keynote. Additionally, in the front of the house is a wood-pallet platform that elevates the foundation of the house to prevent it from being bothered by ground humidity and bugs. H-shaped steel is further used on the platform to reinforce stability of the house as well as supporting canopy above the platform. In this way, not only is rain kept out, but the practicality of the platform is strengthened. This also adds a rough and coarse feel to the entire house. With limited footage, The specifically selected flooring of stone plastic composite is durable, anti-abrasion and smudge-resistant, thus working well against the changeable weather in the mountains. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 50m2 TAGS: YAPU Interior Design, LI JIA-YU, Office RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The lounge area on the left features a pure-white tone. Photography works from the past are arranged on the walls in a fun fashion, which, paired with minimalist furniture and small potted plants, makes for a distinctive, slow-paced vibe. Natural light comes in from three sides, and revealed through the French windows is a vista full of lushness. The green wavy ceiling not only gives a visual cue outward, but echoes cheerfully with the plants in the yard. Most special of all, via a sliding glass door, the lounge area opens to a small platform, which overlooks the city of Taichung. All of a sudden, one is full of confidence and aspiration, feeling like a ruler in a castle that looks out to the largeness of the world. CHALLENGE: To meet future needs, a charging pile is affixed to one of the H-shaped steel bar to charge electric vehicles right there.
