| DESIGN NAME: Volca PRIMARY FUNCTION: Speaker INSPIRATION: I was looking to show the power of sound. "Volca" is inspired by the power of sound. The protrusions on the body and the grooves created on it evoke the power of sound. It seems that the sound is so powerful that it makes the shell move and causes grooves on the body. Like the occurrence of a volcano where the high power of the molten material causes the mountain to crack and the molten material to erupt. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: "volca" is based on smart technology. The body is made of matte plastic and the buttons are tactile. The device has a USB and Bluetooth port, which makes it used as a portable speaker. It can connect to other devices such as telephones via Bluetooth. Cable is used to charge this product and At night, its light can be used as table light. Creating a strong emotional connection with the user, in addition to sound quality, is a feature of this product. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This product enables the user to connect to other devices such as telephones via Bluetooth technology. The buttons are touch and turn on the device by touching the power button. The device has a USB port that makes it used as a portable speaker. At the bottom of the device, a light is installed and turns on with the touch of a light button, and at night it can be used as a table light. The light is designed in two different colors and each time the light button is touched, its color changes. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Bluetooth technology has used for making Volca a portable device. The body is made of matte plastic. touch control panel are other significant features of it. Some of the information is provided through observations and interviews with users to consider their interests in relation to this type of product in the design. CHALLENGE: Designing an attractive and practical device based on technology was one of the important goals of this project. Designing and presenting based on a new and different form was one of the most challenging parts of this process.
