| DESIGN NAME: Impression PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The owners is a couple who live in Europe for a long time and love to engage in art.When they decide to get back in Taiwan , the most important thing is to have a house which express their personality. Having incomparable curiosity and eagerness to try new things is the way they believe. They dreamed to live in a house that surrounding with color and creativity. The primary concept is to create an unlimited space that is special in every different corner. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main inspiration is from the traditional Chinese gate in the garden. The composition of the arch becomes a passageway between space and space. Everyone can see a scene from one side which is totally different from what you see when standing on the opposite side. This penetrating arch creates a beautiful picture-like scenery. When sitting on the sofa, the left side is the sunlight, and the right side is greeted with a three-dimensional triangular coral red cabinets and glazed blue Italian mosaic tiles, creating a amazing sense when entering the house at the first time. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The house is located in an old residential area of Taipei .The brief was simple: to design a house in a functional and comfortable style. “They left all of the initiative to us for the design, ” recalls the designer Max Lin. The immediate reaction was to make the house which became united with light , fun and personal style. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2019 in Taipei city and finished in November 2019. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: demolish, plumber/electrician, cement works, carpentry ,paint ,glass SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: this house is around 116 ㎡. TAGS: multifunction, child room, coral red, greenmasterroom RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Impression house is located in an old residential area of Taipei Wan-HUA area and this is a new nineteen-floor building which just finish in 2019. CHALLENGE: The couple have two little boys.One is 8 years old and the other is 3 years old.They hope to give the boys a place where they can play together and have their own space at the same time.
