INSPIRATION:
This aerial photographic project is inspired by America heartland after snow seen from a landing airplane.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
America Heartland is a series of aerial photography taken in a commercial aircraft at the moment of landing in American Midwest. It captures the geometric abstract patterns in snow-covered corn fields and roads from an unique perspective to attain a sensibility of the Sublime, celebrating the dynamic energies that brings vitality to America heartland.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
These digital files could be printed in large scale.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
This project started in 2019 and finished in 2019 in America Midwest.

Department of Arts and Design (DAD) at the University of Macau focuses on education, research and service in the fields of arts, design, and digital media. DAD collaborates with the Department of Communication, Centre for Arts and Design, Department of History, and the Faculty of Education for MA and PhD programmes in Visual Communication to cultivate talents in art, design, and creative media for Macao and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Through establishing a platform for international exchange and collaborations in interdisciplinary research projects, DAD endeavors to promote creativity in the fields of arts, design, and digital media internationally. While technologies and arts are inseparably associated, it is our hope that their synthesis could be utilized to diversify Macao’s economy, enhancing the development of the cultural and creative industry, and to ensure a sustainable competitive advantage for Macao towards a world-class tourism and leisure center.
