| DESIGN NAME: House in Okolitsa PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Building INSPIRATION: The form-making is based on an atrium structure. The atriums with planted trees and stones are punctuated by functional blocks of the building, creating buffer zones. It doesn’t only erase the boundaries between exterior and interior, but, thanks to the integration of natural elements within the project, makes the environment an integral part of the architecture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The house with a total area of 1500 sq. m is located in the villa community "Okolitsa" OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The central entrance leads to the dominant and the pivot of the house is a big living room joint with a kitchen. Close to it, there are a guest bedroom and workshop. The atriums separate the private zone on the first floors, which functional program consists of the master bedroom, three children's rooms, classroom, playroom, and a library functioning as a stair hall, bathroom, changing room, and yoga class. The second floor has a cabinet, second master bedroom, and SPA. On the site there is a facility for the staff, technical facilities and a garage for 3 cars. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project has started in 2019 and still in progress. Location is Okolitsa, Moscow region, Russia. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The materials of the project are hand-formed clinker bricks and roof tiles Petersen; decking Kebony; stone Minera; chain for fencing; various types of metal, plaster, and paving stones.
