| DESIGN NAME: Buddha Said PRIMARY FUNCTION: Illustration INSPIRATION: At present, Dunhuang Cultural Development Bureau is only limited to re-creating the image of Feixian, and the same classic Dunhuang mural stories have not been well developed and utilized. This design redesigns and creates Buddhist stories in Dunhuang frescoes, so that these classic frescoes are well known by more people, and the art of Dunhuang frescoes is pushed to the public and the world. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Through reading and understanding a large number of relevant materials of Dunhuang frescoes, this paper combines traditional frescoes with modern illustration design, explores the integration of tradition and modernity, and thus creates illustration design works with modern design flavor and national characteristics. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This design selects the five most classic stories in Dunhuang frescoes for illustration design. First of all, the understanding of Dunhuang frescoes is reconstructed. Secondly, the characters in the story are refined and combined with the story skillfully. Finally, computer coloring with Dunhuang flavor highlights the magnificent and mysterious atmosphere of illustration as a whole. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The series of illustrations and expressions are drawn by the illustrator vector design software. It is produced by high level printing and manufacturing technologies to show the details of beautiful and exquisite illustrations. First, the characters in the story are refined and skillfully combined. Then, the colors matched with the charm of Dunhuang are used to highlight the magnificent and mysterious atmosphere of the whole illustration. Moreover, the innovation of this illustration design lies in the integration of Dunhuang frescoes into the illustration design, and the integration of Dunhuang elements in the picture also enhances the unity of the whole design. CHALLENGE: The difficulty lies in accurately grasping the characteristics of Dunhuang frescoes, combining modern aesthetics with traditional frescoes, and combining computer technology with traditional crafts to shape modern aesthetic feeling.
