| DESIGN NAME: World Industrial Design Conference PRIMARY FUNCTION: Visual Identity System INSPIRATION: The World Industrial Design Conference is a global industrial design event. The letter “I” in the logo of WIDC extends the auxiliary figure - light cone, which represents the key elements of design industry.The light cone also represents the letter “I”, which conveys various connotations of industrial design, including "industrial&quo UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Conference is unique with a far-reaching influence, regarded as a precedent for leading the industry and creating the wisdom of the global design. It has become a landmark design event for the international exchange of industrial design.Over 100,000 visitors admired the latest design concepts and products from around the world during the three-day Industrial Design World Expo, which presented a visual feast to them. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design team has accurately interpreted the concept of the Conference, endowed it with rich connotations, and aroused infinite imagination of the audience. Combined with the management of design standards and the presentation form from 2D to 3D animation, it is a visual feast with a strong visual impact. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2019 in and finished in August 2019 in Yantai, and was exhibited in October 2019. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Design is the universal language, which implies openness, inclusiveness, infinity, and the charm of the unknown.As the innovation engine, the design should be fully exerted to increase industrial value, to cultivate industrial vitality, to spur industrial upgrading, and to shape future industrial structure. As a result, the vitality of industry development can keep bursting and booming. The theme of WIDC 2019 is “Design Sparks Innovation Engine”. Design innovation can promote social development, economic development, and the sustainable development of human civilization. The light cone in the key vision jumps from bottom-up, symbolizing that the design power and industrial vitality keep bursting and booming. At the same time, it conveys the development concept of design, cooperation, openness, and sharing to the world. WIDC 2019 has promoted the deep integration of industrial design and economic and social development, facilitating the design exchanges and cooperation between countries and regions. During the Conference, a series of major innovation projects has been reached, including the signing of international design industry cooperation projects, the introduction of national high-end talents project, the establishment of the China Unified Innovation University of Industrial Design and the first world design industry organization - the Global Design Industry Organization. ith the aim of jointly creating an innovative design ecosystem, these projects could develop to be the think tank and kinetic energy platform that takes design as empowerment and drives the development of innovative industries in a chain.
