PRIMARY FUNCTION: Brand Identity
INSPIRATION: BlackDrop is a personal project initially developed to set the tone and creative direction for my personal freelance creative business. I've created this Brand Identity to position myself as a trusted brand consultant in the startup community. BlackDrop stands for slick, contemporary, transparent startup brand that aims to become a timeless, recognizable, industry-leading brand.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a personal Brand Strategy and Identity Project.
BlackDrop is a chain of stores and brand that sells and distributes coffee.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: BlackDrop brand identity is designed in a way to provoke the audience and put a smile on their face, just for a moment. It is a success if potential customers after seeing it think of it as a brand of a great quality and thoughtful team behind it.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research objective was to find as many coffee brands as possible that are doing something that is totally unexpected. The focus was on a startup industry and creative communities. The goal was to find out what makes coffee brand appealing to startup founders and teams.
CHALLENGE: Figuring out a way to match coffee feel and look with tech feel and look was the biggest challenge considering that each has very different attributes from the other. To communicate successfully with coffee lovers and catch their attention, but to position BlackDrop as a tech brand at the same time was the ultimate goal.
