Interview with Lama, Rama, and Tariq Ajinah at Sunday 20th of March 2016

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
LA: The main inspiration is the experience a person goes through that shapes his/ her art/ writing, and character

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
LA: I wanted to create a personal identity that reflects the character of my client and their writing style

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
LA: The final design of the personal identity took almost a week, but the process of qualitative and quantitative research methods along with experimentation took around a month.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
LA: Because I am interested in projects that combines varied cultures. And I am interested in designing personal branding identity as it demands a close human interaction with people from different backgrounds.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
LA: It is used by the client. Actually, her book is published which is inspired by the same concept of the identity.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
LA: I was the designer for the project. However, a successful design is a reflection of an interested synergetic dialogue between the designer, client and the audience.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
LA: fiction book readers

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
LA: Usually fiction books are designed with strong dark colors. This branding reflects the feminin and simple style of the client along with the dynamic and rich cultures that inspire her.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
LA: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshope

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
LA: I received a free ticket from my director (Ms. Cordula Peters) which I am grateful for :)
