She attaches great importance to originality and the combination of creativity, aesthetics and practicability. In her daily life, she has a wide range of interests, and is fond of seeking inspirations from multiple perspectives to add more changes and fun to her works. This is what has guided her to set up her independent brand, Chummy Design. She has gathered excellent designers from different fields to form a more interesting team, in which teammates can mutually interact with each other to bring about more magical designs.
STATEMENT OF ART:In my opinion, art is a nobler adjective or a noble noun, and only when a design which is striking and touching can it be called art. To design artwork which is recognized by the industry or even carried forward for generations is the highest recognition of a designer and also something that the designer feels the proudest of. Artworks tend to demonstrate the designer’s ideas and aesthetic taste, thus often ignoring practicability. This provides audiences with a larger room for imagination and thinking. A design might not be one which can be understood at the first sight. It might be a priceless treasure which is rare to find in this world. The more the audiences look at it, the more eager the audiences are to investigate the value behind it and also the more likely it will be kept in mind by people. Design is a behavior in which a designer gives the fullest play to what he or she has acquired and comprehended in the field of design as well as his or her imagination. Then, the principles of practicability, creativity, and aesthetics are combined to create the most valuable and meaningful space for users or owners, and get the design closer to the name of an artwork. During the process of design, the designer should consider spatial functions and practicability from the user’s perspective so as to satisfy owner demands, and properly apply aesthetic and artistic principles there to. In a word, art is for slow appreciation and perception, while design is to allow users to make better use of it for certain purpose.
