Born of political will in 1982, the National School of Industrial Creation (Les Ateliers) is the only national school exclusively dedicated to industrial design and the design. He was then to break with academic models by placing creation at the heart of the concerns of the industrial production and thus revive the spirit of the Bauhaus or Black Mountain College. Near the Place de la Bastille, in the heart of Paris, the ENSCI – Les Ateliers occupies a historic site where the former workshops of decorator Jansen were located. The school has kept the spirit of these workshops, while opening up to the most contemporary technologies (digital machines, 3D printers and scanners, etc.).
