Yi Feng, the designer of the award winning work Diamond says “The chair was inspired by the geometry of the diamond. The design also incorporates the traditional aesthetics of China. The design focuses on both aesthetic and functional aspects. The surface of the chair is polished to show the smoothness of the surface. The design of the chair try to explain traditional culture using modern manufacturing techniques.
