Chiahsun Tsai, the creator of the award winning homeware design work Ri Shan Shui says “This series is consisted of Ri /Shan/Shui. Ri/The Chinese character Ri, meaning the sun, is completed when a writing brush is set on the paperweight. It is made of Walnut and brass to express the warmth of and handwriting. Shan/The shape of this paper town reflects the Chinese character Shan. In Chinese poetry, the mountain is a conceptual metaphor of a scholar’s integrity.
